Billie Eilish and the war of the corsets
Billie Eilish isn’t your regular teenager, at such a young age, her trophy cabinets must be intimidating even to legends in the music industry. At the 62nd Grammys, she wrote her name in the history books as the youngest person and first woman to win the four main Grammy categories — Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist.
If you haven’t heard of her before, then obviously, you probably aren’t a fan of the Grammy Awards. Billie doesn’t look like someone who is ready to take a break because as recently as two months ago (March 15, 2021), she still won Record of the Year at the 63rd Grammy Awards for her song, ‘Everything I wanted’. In addition, she also received a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media — ‘No Time to Die’ — which happens to be the forthcoming 25th instalment in the James Bond film series.
Despite all Billie’s achievements, a few people still can’t understand why she prefers to wear baggy outfits and dye her hair with odd-looking colours. But on numerous occasions, I’ve always admired the non-conformist culture and I see nothing wrong in dressing the way I like or protecting myself from being objectified or sexualized. As a result, I’m a fan of everything that Billie Eilish stands for, and it will be extremely difficult to change my mind except if she decides to stop being herself.
Billie recently graced the cover of one of the most celebrated magazines — Vogue — and she really revealed some flesh. This got some of my friends talking about the rejuvenated Billie, but for me, I wasn’t surprised because I believe everyone is entitled to their freedom as long as they aren’t physically or emotionally harming anyone. Also, Billie isn’t committing any crime that can lead to a jail sentence, so why should people be worried about another person’s decision to change her appearance.
If you’re a fan of Billie just like me, why not raise your glass for a toast to a once in a century superstar. When high-end fashion brands — Gucci and Burberry — are ready to work with you, that’s a great sign that you’ve got a strong fanbase and your fashion style isn’t out of date.
In the image above, Billie was able to showcase her beautiful tattoo which runs from across her belly to her right upper thigh whilst wearing a corset, and it’s such an inspiration for any lady that feels like impressing her man tonight in a sexy corset. Burberry’s trench coat has always been one of my favourite items on the brand’s list of merchandise because it has a subtle way of elevating your status.
I guess these Billie’s images must have cleared your doubts about if she’s got the right body shape that most ladies desire. As for me, I love Billie in all weather.
